Weald of Kent Grammar School is a high achieving, oversubscribed, forward thinking school. Our students, according to Ofsted, “reach exceptionally high standards”.
We are seeking two efficient, flexible and well organised people to join our busy Cover Supervision team from September 2014. 
 
The post-holders will work as part of our essential Cover Supervisor team providing support across the entire curriculum, from English to Science, Music to Design Technology. Cover Supervisors work closely with the Heads of Department to deliver a meaningful experience for our students.
 
The positions are 31.25 hours per week (8.35am to 3.50pm), term time only plus 5 CPD days.  One of the posts also includes supporting the Learning Resources Centre (LRC); one day per week (Thursday) until 5pm. The ideal Cover Supervisor will be confident, have a proven track record of leading a group and be willing to work as part of a team. Cover Supervisor positions will suit outgoing personalities who are looking for an exciting and rewarding role, or looking to gain classroom experience before applying for a secondary teaching qualification.

Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an efficient, flexible and well organised person to join our busy Student Services team from September 2014.
 
The post-holder will work closely with the SENCO and Assistant SENCO to support learning and welfare of students across the whole school, but primarily to support one student with a Statement of Special Educational Needs on a temporary basis. This appointment will last for as long as support is required for this student with the possibility of a 7 year contract.
 
The position is 26 hours per week (hours by arrangement), term time only plus 5 CPD days. The ideal candidate will be confident, have a proven track record of working with young people in schools or the health service and be willing to work as part of a team.Specialist training in SEN and knowledge of hearing and visual impairments is particularly desirable.
